Thanks to both financial and administrative support from numerous basketball identities and associations within Japan, ADU Basketball Tours is able to offer the opportunity for Australian basketball teams to come to Japan at a truly affordable cost.
Based on the standard nine day tour to Japan for juniors aged 10-21:
21 ~ 50 Members - $1,900 + flight
11 ~ 20 Members - $2,100 + flight
01 ~ 10 Members - $2,300 + flight
Staff/Coaches/Parents - $1,900
* Air flight NOT included. Approximate cost of flight is $900 - $1,500 per person (dependant upon season and choice of airline). ADU Basketball has numerous contacts and will ensure they find the best possible price/airline for your tour.
* Adult teams can also be catered for (home stay or hotel stay) - Email for quote.
The cost of the tour covers the following:
1. Insurance - Fully comprehensive travel and health insurance covering all tour members for the entirety of the tour.
2. Home stay - Payments made to families to cover costs for hosting the students and general living expenses.
3. Travel in and around Japan - All tour bus and other travel costs.
4. Meals (including drinks and snacks) - All three main meals along with all snacks and drinks.
5. Sightseeing - Tourist attraction entry fees and costs.
6. Tour gear - All members receive an ADU Japan Basketball Tour t-shirt and other gear is also available at a discounted price to tour members.
7. Games - Costs incurred for courts, referees, awards.
8. Tour Application and Approval Fees - All necessary paperwork and approval from all state and federation basketball bodies involved is acquired.
9. Tour guide/s - A tour guide/translator is present for all team activities. For Tours of 20+ two guides/translators are present.
10. DVD and CD - All tour games and miscellaneous activities are recorded on DVD. ADU Basketball also produces their own CD of tour photos. Both the DVD and CD are copied and distributed to all teams.
11. Administration costs - Cost of all paperwork and correspondence before and during the tour.
The tour does not include the following:
* Flight - ADU Basketball through its many contacts will endeavour to find the cheapest and best flights for your team.
* Passport.
* Personal spending money (presents for family/friends, shopping etc).
* Travel within Australia (to and from the Airport).
* Cost of any gifts for home stay families or opposition teams
Additional Important Terms and Conditions:
* ADU Basketball Tours Japan Management takes responsibility for setting up and organising all aspects of the tour and will be in continual contact throughout the process informing of all processes leading up to and during the tour.
* ADU is not a travel agent, so all flights must be booked through an official travel agent and are booked in the name of the touring team. As previously mentioned, ADU Basketball tours will find and recommend airlines on your behalf to help make this process easier.
* The tour guide/translator will be contactable by mobile phone 24/7.
* A first-aid kit is provided by Japan Basketball Tours and will accompany the tour for all games and tour bus travel.
* All members/staff will be supplied with an emergency card containing important Japanese phrases and contact details.
* Price is inclusive for all times of the year but is subject to change due to variance in exchange rates.
* Additional DVDs and tour gear are available for purchase at cost price.
